i use Shortcircuit... its free, and its got a nice lot of features - a nice reverb and various other effects, plenty of filters / envelopes and lots of buttons to mess with, i find it pretty easy to navigate too, nice interface :)

i use renoises built in one atm. shortcircuit looks cool though, i love freeware !!

I think My favourite sampleers are the NN-XT in Reason 4 (Though Im looking forward for the Kong drum machine in reason 5), but I think the NN-XT is just edged out by the Native Instruments Maschine which is just and incredibly good piece of kit in my humble opinion. You cant beat the hardware software integration you get with maschine.
